"Go knock at your own door at your own
apartment!!!"
Wow. It's been another week. Happy Monday.
I just wanted to let y'all know there is a new Disney movie
being made about me. Sister Glover is writing parodies of all of the Disney
songs and re-writing them to be about missionary work. Elder Belnap is
illustrating it and the title of the movie is...
*dramatic pause for dramatic effect*
"The Littlest Sister"
*Disney castle scene where the star flies over the castle*
I'm so very excited about this new release. We'll be sending
you special behind the scenes peaks over the next thirteen weeks as we lead up
to the premier.
But in the mean time... let me tell y'all about my week.
I started off my week on Monday with a hike up 200 something
stairs to the top of Ponce Inlet Lighthouse with some of my greatest pals.
(Sister Glover [obviousy], Sister Badal, Sister Peterson, Elder Dummer, Elder
Goff, Elder Belnap, and Elder Lieshman.) We tried to take some cute pictures,
but unfortunately thanks to the wind and a nice photobomb from Elder Dummer we
walked away with some seriously high quality portraits...
It was a blast though. I love these crazy kids. π€πΌ
After P-Day we had dinner with the Spears and then we went
to the Hewletts. I love them forever and alway.
Tuesday we went on over to Habitat for Humanity for some
good old clothes sorting. Always a partayyy. Then we went and visited the
Shipkowitz family and did some finding. Then we ate dinner with the Lobrotts. I
colored with Madeline and she told me all about the new Disney movie about the
islander girl. Such a cute family. Then we met with Robbie and we taught him
about the 10 commandments and following the Prophet. Robbie is seriously the
coolest number one forever fireworks explode confetti falls mike drops because
he is just eating everything in the gospel right up.
Wednesday we had District Meeting and Sister Glover and I
gave the closing discussion about the improtance of Preach My Gospel. Word.
*thug pose* Then we went to Steak n Shake. Then we exchanged with the Bunnell
sisters and I GOT TO BRING MY BESTIE SISTER ANDERSON TO PORT ORANGE WITH ME. Oh
man. I love Sister Anderson. We went to go see Brother Harper who has been
reading his scriptures every single day. Then we saw Cody (my best Autistic
friend) with Brother Portus. Cody gave me some weeds from his yard and you'd
better believe I dried them out and am keeping them in my scriptures. He's my
favorite kid. Then we visited Tammy and searced for a "purple folder"
in her house that I'm not convinced even exists. I also washed her dishes...
with soap this week! Then we saw Sister Chilkott who is just my favorite person
to teach. Then we had dinner with the Stefliks. I LOVE THAT FAMILY WITH ALL MY
HEART. At one point in the conversation it was brought up that Brother Steflik
plays the accordion, and then later while we were in the middle of teaching a
lesson to the kids brother Steflik appears WEARING AN ACCORDION. Then he played
us a bunch of songs and the little kids rocked out to circus noises. It was
seriously the cutest thing. haha I'm learning to play the accordion when I get
home incase you were wondering. After dinner we saw Sister Davila.
Thursday Sister anderson and I drove back to Bunnell so we
could exchange back. Then after a loooooooooonngggg drive back to Port Orange
we went to go see my adopted Grandma, Sister Gruber. She gave us ice cream and
life advice. I love her. Then we went to see the Atkinsons, THEN WE SAW OUR
FAVORITE INVESTIGATOR, PATRICK. We taught him the Law of Chastity and the Word
of Wisdom and then he told us that he might want to move his baptismal date up
because he wants to be baptized sooner. ahhhhhhh How do things like this even
happen?
*passes out because Patrick is so cool*
Then we had dinner with the Spears, Sister Hutchinson, and
Debi. Sister Spears decided that Sister Glover and I wre going to marry two of
her grandchildren so during dinner we made fake wedding plans and it was quite
comical. π Then we visited the Morecrafts.
Friday we weekly planned for a hot minute. Then we had lunch
and went and visited the Shipkowitz family and said hi to our little recent
convert, Josh. He's my favorite kid. Then we had dinner with the Cintrons.
They've started a new thing called "junk food friday" where we come
over and they feed us junk food...
***I just want to make a disclaimer that when I come home I
will be fat because I am being force fed all the junk food and I cannot refuse
their hospitality...***
*takes another piece of fried chicken*
I love the south.
Then we went and saw our new investigator Frank. At one
point in the lesson I jokingly made an indian noice. Frank was very surprised
by this and now he thinks I'm a crazy indian kid from Utah. hahaha π
Then we went and visited my other adopted grandma, Barbara. She is the sweetest
old southern lady from Alabama that we used to teach. We just went to say hi. I
love her. Then we went and saw Rod. He's the coolest.
Saturday we started off the day with doing some service at
the Hewletts house. The Hewletts are seriously my favorite people ever. Then we
went and saw Patrick with Brother Portus and we officially moved his baptismal
date up to January 21st so now both Robbie AND Patrick are getting baptized
that day!!! We were so pumped that we decided to celebrate with some ice cream
from this cute little place called the Neighborhood market. It's in the middle
of this neighborhood and it almost looks like a house, but then you go in and
it is the cutes ice cream shop/store that I have ever seen in my LIFE! I got
key lime pie ice cream. Not like ice cream that was flavored key lime pie, BUT
THERE WAS LITERALLY HOMEMADE KEY LIME PIE IN THE ICE CREAM. I was crying. Then
we met this super cute old couple that were so tickled by the fact that we are
missionaries that they gave us a couple dollars to add to our "ice cream
fund" ha I LOVE PEOPLE.
Then we went and saw the Sebastian's. Our little recent
convert, Junior is doing so great! He is such a good kid! Then we saw the
Orbans who I LOVE! Then we had dinner with the Shauvers where we had ice cream
for the THIRD...freak...THIRD time that day.
I literally have no regrets.
Then we went to see Robbie and we taught him the Law of
Chastity, the Word of Wisdom, and the Law of Tithing and it was one of the best
commandments lessons I've ever been in. Everybody was so eager to testify of the
blessings that have come from keeping the commandments, and Robbie was so ready
to live them all. HE IS SO COOL I CAN'T EVEN HANDLE IT!!!!!!!!!!!
Sunday we were on our way to church when we had a member
call us and say "Sisters, I have some co-workers coming to church
today." ahhhhhhh never in my life have I been in a ward that just HANDS me
so many investigators. They are on FIRE!!! So we got to church and we had like
six bazillion investigators there. And Junior wanted to sit with us too so we had
almost an entire long bench full of our investigators and recent converts and I
felt like I was back home with my family again. And it was fast and testimony
meeting which is always nerve-wracking as a missionary because you never know
what is going to come out of peoples mouths, but it turned out to be the most
spiritual wonderful testimony meeting I have ever been in. My good friend Ben
has been living in the ward for the last couple months with his sister's family
(the Stefliks) He has been working on changing his life around and overcoming
some things. He talked about how he came here expecting to go through the
motions, but then he started to fall for the church and he talked about how
much his life has changed as he's learned about the gospel. Then he announced
that he is preparing to serve a mission and the ENTIRE WARD was just crying our
eyes out. I love watching the atonement
work in peoples lives. Ben is seriously the coolest.
What a good Sunday.
After church we went and saw the Shipkowitz family, then we
went and saw my cute best friend Milady. We read the Book of Mormon together.
Then we went and had dinner with the Clements. They are great. Then we went to
Elijah Pie (family history night) and I entertained Lilly while Sister Glover
helped Lilly's sister Cheyanna with her family history work. Lilly is my
favorite tiny human.
As you can see, Lilly put dreadlocks in my hair.
I just want you all to know that Florida was freezing this
week... I had to break out my light jacket.
I don't know how I'm going to survive Utah. Maybe I'll just
extend my mission and stay here for the rest of my life.
Please stay tuned for you weekly "The Littlest
Sister" previews!! We have a couple songs to send today!
Oh boy oh boy it was a good week. Today I am going to
celebrate P-day with ice cream.
Out of Context Quotes:
"Don't pee on me please"
"Elder Pierson would buy you a banjo if you bought him
a Justin Bieber CD"
"Ever since Sister Reid got a keyboard her lesson
reports have been more detailed than Ann Frank's diary."
"Is that all you want me to kill?"
"If your name's not Shawn, you can't kill my
snakes."
"Go knock at your own door at your own
apartment!!"
That's all I've got for y'all!! Hope y'all have a great
week!! I love y'all more than key lime pie ice cream!!
P.s. Here's a stalker picture that Sister Glover took while
I was praying...
