Darling Distressed Blue Bench for SALE!

Hey friends! I am doing a few fundraisers to help earn money so I can go to EFY in Palmyra and instead of doing pizza cards and cookie dough (because I know everyone LOVES $15 dollar cookie dough) I decided to do something a little different.

I am selling this SUPPER cute up cycled bench!
*pillows not included. My mom would be mad.

It would be awesome on a front porch, at the end of your bed, or in a front entry way, or at a kitchen table. It is super sturdy and is freshly painted light blue and distressed (as you can see).

I'm selling it for only $45. This kind of bench would go for $100-$300 on Etsy.

I am willing to deliver within the Layton area (or close to there).

If you are interested leave me a comment or shoot me an email at feelmysunlight@yahoo.com.

If you aren't interested in this, but would be interested in other up cycled furniture leave me a comment!

Thanks for your help! I appreciate all the support! Love you guys.

pretending I'm a DIY blogger

Today I'm going to do something crazy (sorta) I'm going to pretend to be a DIY blogger for a day.

See, I've been wanting a scripture cover for months due to the fact that my scriptures are looking just a little too loved, and by too loved I mean the binding is being held on by bobby pins, they don't close all the way, and my pages look like a package of highlighters exploded. But that's exactly how I like it. They just needed a little more protection.

The only problem is the ones on etsy are just too dang expensive for my mission saving self so we went the alternative option. Pinterest.

I was thinking "Oh! I'll make an awesome scripture cover and do a tutorial on my blog! And then I found this tutorial by delia cretes... and it's really good. I ended up using her tutorial almost exactly so I am just going to link to her blog and skip the whole tutorial thing.

Aaaaand.... my creation.

As a few of you know I am doing 30 days of Thanksgiving with my friend Hannah from The Perks of Being Happy. My day one just so happens to be a guest post on sprinklesonmyicecream.blogspot.com and you can read that post HERE.

So this is day two and I'm thankful for... can you guess it?... THE SCRIPTURES!

We as the Mormon Church "believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. {Article of Faith 8}

The Book of Mormon is not meant to replace the Bible, but it stands as "Another Testament of Jesus Christ" It tells of Christ's dealings with the people in the Americas. It contains the fullness of the gospel and it tells men what they must do in order to gain eternal live and achieve eternal life.

I have a personal testimony of the Book of Mormon. I know know of its truthfulness and I have felt it's power in my life. I encourage everyone to see what it's all about.

Read more about the Book of Mormon HERE.

p.s. My family just told me I have blogosaurus. Whatever that means. I think it is supposed to be some kind of disease, but it sounds like some kind of dinosaur to me. Either way, I like it.
p.s.s. Notice how my scripture case matches my blog. coincidence? You decide.

#15daysuntilidie

15 days left of summer.... am I ready for school? NO! So I am going to make a list. A bucket list of sorts to help me get ready, and to savor these last bits of Summer. So here it is

DIY Summer bucket list!

*re-do bedside table

*find desk

*rearange room with desk

*make whipe-board callender

*hang whipe board callender

*paint notebooks in chalkboard paint

*go shopping for school supplies

*help parents finish my bathroom!

*clean out closet

*go shopping for school clothes

*work on personal progress atleast 15 minutes a day

*start going to bed earlier

*spend less time on the computer

*play guitar every day

*write in my journal every day

*read a whole book

So I had better get started if I want to finish this! My mom thinks that most of this isn't going to happen any time soon, so we will see. I am determined. Wish me luck!

picket fence dream

Carina taking a picture of me, taking a picture of our dorm
My half of the room
Carina's half of the room

Skip a day of blogging and you suddenly feel forgotten... though I'm pretty sure my mom is the only person who reads every post and I talked to here a few minutes ago.

I hope you enjoyed my pictures of mine and Carina's dorm room from when we where at EFY at Utah State. Dorm rooms just so happen to be the topic of todays post.

So my mom (click here to visit her blog!) has had this dream that I realy want to come true. (its kinda my dream too.) We want to buy a house just off of Utah State campus and redo it super cute (like flower box, tourquoise door, and a picket fence kind of cute.) then rent it out to colledge students. Then in 3 years (if I do decide to go to Utah State like I'm planning to) will live there and not have to pay rent! Then my sister will join me a few years after that. I think this is a good plan!
